Summary of Position Role/Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Trip Support Manager, the driver will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport Avant Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to designated locations. Duties include following traffic laws and company policies, maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of all vehicles, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of all passengers. The driver must also maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle inspections while demonstrating professionalism and excellent customer service skills.

  • Operate internal database systems and assist in maintaining confidential and employment-related data.
  • Provide transportation to health care professionals safely to various employment related activities. Locations include but are not limited to the Social Security office, Department of motor vehicles, testing centers, airport, etc.
  • Operate an Avant company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner adhering to all driving laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for vehicle checks and maintenance, ensuring it is safe and reliable to use.
  • Reporting any accidents or damages to the vehicle to the management immediately.
  • Courteous and thoughtful treatment of health care professionals and other individuals sharing the roadway.
  • Follow an assigned schedule and arrive on time to pick up and drop off locations.
  • During down times, and as directed by management, will perform other tasks such as cleaning vehicles, performing related errands office work, and assisting with tasks in other departments outside of Transportation.
  • Create and update Market Analysis (MAP) and Client Resource Profiles (CRP) as needed.
  • Work independently and as part of the team.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Normal Work Schedule

  • This is a per diem position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to complete the essential functions of the job.

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a professional driver preferred.
  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Specific Requirements of Law

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification and ability to obtain and maintain.

  • This role routinely operates standard office equipment.
  • Minimal travel required.
